It was in the 50s when I finally got out of bed this morning so I knew it was a good day to take the Vette out. Dropped the top and took my 8 year old daughter for a ride to the bookstore in Swansea (had to stock up on automotive mags ). We cruised around for a little while and then back home. I think I know what I'll be driving to work this week
you betcha! drove up to connecticut to do some construction demo work at family's house.
then, after a long day of that, i got a 2nd wind of adrenaline arond 3 p.m. to wash car & do the full zaino treatment (zfx, z-5, z-6). car was verrrrrrrrrry happy.
Took the Blue Vette to church this morning (looks kinda funny in the church parking lot, all the more reason to take it to church), then we found some errands we HAD to do.
Wrapped up the afternoon teaching my wife to drive a manual. Heck I know I'll need a new clutch soon anyway, might as well let her learn on it now...

Washed up the car, took it out onto the highway (since local roads are covered with water from melting snow) and hit a bunch of snowmelt runoff (loaded with salt), car in front of me shooting roostertails all over my freshly washed vette (loaded with salt)..........got off the next exit and turned around PISSED off. I cannot stand washing a car then having it get dirty seconds into a cruise
No more driving till all the snow is melted away and the roads are dry.

I thought those suckers didn't fly around here anymore.
They don't that is why there is a fence around it, they are grounded and used for display. I wonder if that is the one from the Intrepid and they took it off while it is under renovations.

It's like every other import...they all want to race the 'vettes!
It even came out of retirement for the day...
Needless to say, the 'vettes won .
Actually, it's the one that was on the Intrepid in Manhattan. Since they moved the intrepid for a face lift, the concorde was sent to Floyd Bennett Field. It's an amazing/intimidating piece of human engineering....staring at it yesterday, it was hard to believe that it started flying in the '70s.
The best place to park it (away from all the Honda Accords and Minivans) is over by the parsonage. Something tells me Pastor Mitch would handle the 6 speed pretty well if he ever wants to take it for a drive. He's a pretty wiley guy.
Took the 94 Copper over to visit his two Z-06 buddies yesterday.
We ended up just cruising for an hour or so around north Jersey.
Let's hope spring is close!!!
