I make a motion that all EVENT threads are no longer stickys.
If there is enough interest in an event it will stay near or on top.
I bet most of us don't even look at the stickys anyway

I never want to disagree with you ....But
Some of these events are posted so far in advance,
that in order to keep them up top they turn into
bar threads with no info for the event.
I look up at the stickies.
Just my opinion.

My unwritten rule has been three weeks before and up to teh day of teh event.
The only long standing stickies are those that either contain year long events(such as ELaine's) or in the case of the NCM brick for Frank.
It's an unwriten rule and most of thos e stickies weren't stuck by me and moderator code says that once a mod touches a thread, it's off limits to teh others(unless there is a problem in that thread).
