Drunken man parks horse in bank foyer
Wed Apr 25, 8:16 AM ET
BERLIN - An early-morning bank customer had a bit of a shock when he found a horse at the automatic teller machine.
The horse's owner, identified only as Wolfgang H., had a bit too much to drink the night before and decided to sleep it off inside the bank's heated foyer, police said Tuesday.
The 40-year-old machinist told Bild newspaper he had had "a few beers" with a friend in Wiesenburg, southwest of Berlin, and decided to hit the hay in the bank on his way home.
Confronted with the lack of a hitching-post, he brought the 6-year-old horse, named Sammy, in with him.
When a customer came across the horse and sleeping rider in the bank at 4:15 a.m. Monday, he called police, who then came and woke the owner up and sent him on his way.
No charges were filed, but there might be some cleanup needed: Apparently Sammy made his own after-hours deposit on the carpet.
For the price, they are pretty good tires. I believe the PS2s and BF Goodrich KDW2s rate a bit better in performance but they tend to be a bit more expensive as well.

Pregnant cow runs riot across city
Tue Apr 24, 8:34 AM ET
BERLIN (Reuters) - A pregnant cow being chased by police and fire fighters caused 25,000 euros ($33,900) of damage on a three-hour rampage through the German city of Hanover.
Uschi escaped from a farm late Monday and became increasingly violent as she encountered shocked drivers and pedestrians in the city.
Pursued by the farmer, television camera crews and 30 police and fire fighters, the Charolais cow lashed out at cars, benches, garden fences and whatever else got in her way during the 5-km chase, authorities said.
After more than three hours on the loose, Uschi was brought down by tranquilizer darts, without harming her unborn calf, fire services spokesman Martin Argendorf said Tuesday.
"She probably won't remember any of it when she wakes up again. But the farmer will, because he's going to have to pay damages of about 25,000 euros," he said.
For the price, they are pretty good tires. I believe the PS2s and BF Goodrich KDW2s rate a bit better in performance but they tend to be a bit more expensive as well.

I talked to him last night and he seemed ok - in a lot of pain of course - my mom and sister told me that he we eating - he had a laminectomy and fusion done. Supposedly he will be home today.
Those are the standard KDWs. I'm talking about the KDW2s that Shermon has.
If you are looking for overall wet and dry tractions, the Bridestones are pretty good. If you are looking for strictly performance wise, maybe not so much but *gasp* you may actually drive your vette in the rain once in a while.
