Ok, a little while ago i posted that it feels like my car is running out of gas on the top end of the track. i recently mounted an external fuel gauge so i can watch the fuel presure as i race the car. today i tested it out!
i have the fuel presure regulator up to 8psi. i launched the car at 2000 rpm and shift into first at 6000. then by the time the car gets to 6000 rpm in second gear, the fuel pressure it at 2 psi. i havent tried third gear yet because i was testing it on some backroads near my house.
2psi at 6000 rpm cant be good, right? what should i do know? i have an aftermarket Carter Strip fuel pump that is good for 9 psi. do you think i need to replace my pump?
