Seems like everyone went racing today but me (and Siska, as he is serving his sentence). So, what happed? Who ran good, who ran bad, who blew stuff up, and who wrecked their car? Let's hear all the dirt!!
Racing was goog at E-twon. Had well over 70 Vettes.
New best for me of 12.87. Many other new bests.
We had a few cars break.
Mike69 broke a heater coil
GordonM broke a rear
Chris NJ C5 blew a clutch (Friday)
Vic89 had battery trouble
One guy broke an AC belt.
JD had some top end issues.
Well, I almost clicked off another 12 second run. My first time shot was 13.10, my second was a 13.16, so I figure a 13.20 dial is good since the car won't have a chance to cool down where I want it.
Then after some thinking I change it to 13.25. Rich S said dial it down to 13.10. I said no, I need a little in the bank since I was taking on the points leader.
So I do my burnout, stage and click off my best 60' of the year 1.933. I cut a really bad light and BillY2kFRC caught me and ran a 12.58 on his 12.52 dial, where as I let off to avoid breaking out(I Figured I ran a 13.30) Bill gets teh win light and when I get my slip it turns out that I had run 13.10 on the brakes! Had I stayed in it, I'm sure it would have been a high 12 second run. I'm so pissed.
Bill was on, he took out Panuzzo in the 2nd round. I don't know how far he actually went(I think 4 rounds), but he was definitely on his game.
Well I made it to MIR. Ran a best time of 13.49. Ran the car a total of 4 times. Once beside a vega that ran 9.5 and once beside a thunderbird that ran 8.8. Man they made me feel slow!! By the way, was MIR busier then normal? or is this the amount of cars that usually show up for Test and Tune?
Had a blast yesterday! I didn;t have my best runs but at least I still got to drive her home.
I blew out the heater core on my fist pass. After some quick help from my friends, I was back on the track without even missing one round~! Thanks Everyone!
More that I can say for Gordon.... He blew the rear end in his 72 LT1 and had a long tow home~!
