That's the new construction for the Colorado River Bridge over Black Canyon, a little more than a 1/4 mile downstream from the Hoover Dam. U.S. Highway 93 that runs from Nevada to Arizona has been pretty much closed to truck traffic since 9/11. US 93 is the only crossing for miles and miles in either direction. The current roadway is full of switchbacks as it nears the dam from both sides and it has always been a horror for traffic. Delays along the approaches are a nightmare. The "new" Highway 93 will make for clear sailing (especially for big rigs) across the Colorado River between I-15 in Nevada and I-40in Arizona.

I've been to LV a few times, 100's of cross's on the way up from Phoenix
