Default trip home from e-town

I got to race two different porsche's on my way home from e-town...I was on the parkway North and was in cruise control at 73 in 5th gear ... next to me i see the headlights of a porsche. At first i didn't think much about it cause usually its a boxster, and they are not worth running against. But when i saw the words carrera on the back i dropped it into 4th gear (still at 75 mph)we did a few runs up to 120ish and i didn't take her out of 4th always kept up and pulled away from the porsche. I thought that car had more then that. But anyway after a good 20 miles of cat and mouse i decided to use him as a blocker and let him take the lead. We come up pretty hard on this car and all of a sudden brake lights as the car was a marked cop car (with light bar on top) slid into the shoulder and slowed down... I did the only natural thing slowed down to let him in front of me and behind the porsche. by the time i was doing about 40 mph i realized he wasn't going to follow the porsche and got a little worried, but at this same instance he turned left and set up a speed trap going in the other direction. Close call there...anyway after cruising from exit 105 to the Holland tunnel exit with the 911 he turned off. and i hit cruise control again at 73 in 5th.

Then a few miles later at the toll plaza a boxster S guns it with me and takes off. He almost slammed into a car when the merge happened cause someone just shot in to the center lane...I was impressed with the brakes. I took this car way to lightly though, turned out to be a sleeper...this thing was seriously tweaked. i drove the same way i pulled away from the carrera(4th gear) and up to about 115 this guy pulled on me. Then when we slowed down i threw her in third and pulled up next to him. 3...2...1 we took off and he was door to door with me through 3rd and i didn't start to pull away until i was half way through 4th gear...he turned off two exits later so it was abbreviated. But that car can move who ever it was. I am not going to take it so lightly from now on. Regardless i killed two on my way home and i didn't get pulled over. :seeya

Rob, I appreciate your enthusiasm for racing but really man, those street races are not winners here man.

I believe that if you want to race, New Jersey is the place to race because it has 3 dragstrips.

Plenty of racing there Rob and no speeding tickets.

Gotta be careful out there. Cops got laser now on the GSP.

Much safer below exit 80 though, only have to worry about dear.

Ditto on what Edgar said.

We like to play, but we do most of it on the track.

I dont have any good excuse why not...both days i showed up late and didn't register to run...little did i know there was going to be the hour + delay last night...trust me i'll be there next season...plus i am running my car this sat at the meadowlands. (i am going to get that link from JB and let you guys know more...only thing i know now is its $30 a car)

And so everyone knows i dont run zipping in and out of traffic nor do i go tearing down residential streets...there was no traffic, no danger, plenty of straight road with no one ahead of us...and i dont want to damage my car

I don't like hearing bout that kind of STREET driving either. Forget about the expense of tickets how about the expense of some dippy broad with kids who makes am unexpected lane change when you play like that?

Good point John.. the only kind of "street racing" I would consider would be like an abanded air strip or something to that effect.. Never on public roads where there are other cars... :nono: :nono:

I drive the speed limit in my own lane and some ricers always come up to me and its annoying when the car next to you is traveling side by side, so I speed up a little, and they think I'm racing them... I always lose  :D     :smash:  :jester :troll :U :seeya :boxing :chevy :cry

No warning at all, unless they use it on a car in front of you. Scorp and I made the drive home Sunday on the GSP, we passed a couple of cops on the side of the road and my V1 didn't go off once! Gotta be careful where you open it up on the GSP.
