Thanks!

My wife and I just opened a great gift, home decor & jewelry store in Greenwich, CT, and we'd like to become a sponsoring vendor and offer forum members nice discounts.

But, we don't sell Covette items....yet!!! (I'm working on it...any ideas on what would sell?) The last moderator I spoke with some months back (forget who it was) said we had to be Corvette-related in order to be a sponsor, which I can sort of understand. There ought to be a section that businesses can pay the forum a fee to offer their goods & services--it's something I'd be glad to do, and I'd imagine others in a similar situation would as well.

Greenwich, huh? The last time we were up there, we bought a coat for the doggie ..... it's really nice, but I do miss the kidney I had to sell to afford it!

Just kidding, good luck with the venture and there is a wide range of Corvette jewlery out there, but I wouldn't what the deal is with GM licensing ... etc

Thanks!

It's not your usual Greenwich price tag...most items range from $20-200. Putting it together the past month or so has been a labor of love--we did all the demo & construction ourselves. Would you believe I hauled a ton of construction materials & tools in my Z? That includes all of our glass display shelves, including eight 6ft., 3/8" thick glass shelves...in the trunk! It passed right thru to the passenger seat. Unreal! When I arrived to pick 'em up, the guys at the glass shop looked at me like I was nuts...and they wouldn't be entirely wrong...

If anyone has any idea where to find Corvette-related items wholesale, please let me know! Cufflinks, t-shirts, novelty items, whatever sounds interesting...

If anything, we could always use the shop parking lot as a meeting point for a cruise!

Fine jewelry with a Corvette theme. There are some moderate pieces available at car shows, but nothing upscale.

Corvette cufflinks would be cool!! When I got my 'vette a few years ago, my wife had such a difficulty finding a pr. of 'vette links for me. She ended up finding an antique one from the late '50s.

There's enough cheesy 'vette related stuff out there. Do something classy, and you'll have a lot of us buying them from you!!!

Best of luck with the venture.

For jewelry and other items, would you guys care if stuff was made overseas (Asia), or is this one of those things that should be made in the U.S.? I'll have my wife talk to some domestic artists as well as some bigger overseas manufacturers, the latter to see if they carry nice things Corvette-related (and therefore have already dealt with licensing issues).

It's gotta be something unique that separates us form the big firms like Mid America or Ekler's, who offer a mountain of Corvette-themed git items.

Throw out some other ideas, I'm all ears

So far, cool cufflinks! I'd buy those for sure. The one's I've seen offered by the big guys aren't so unique, and they aren't inexpensive either. For $100-150, I'd want something special.

Keep the good ideas coming...we'd like to be able to offer something unique and at a good price for this great forum community as a vendor.

Cuff links, ear rings, lapel pin, pendant, dangling belly jewelry. Do it with various vintage emblems. Now that I think of it, a dangling belly ring with a C6 emblem in dark Indian gold would be something I'd get.

Whatever it is, do it with perfect lines, ultra high polish, good dark gold not the cheap US crap that you can get at Walmart or Costco. Noone cares where it's made so long as it's top shelf.

It doesn't matter where it's made. Just be sure the materials and workmanship are of high quality. I think you should try for some classy jewelry for women -- understated elegance.

The biggest hurdle will likely be making sure everything is properly licenced.

SLO-Vette: If you don't have any web design experience, drop me a pm and I'll give you some pointers and / or help setting up that side of things if you want to investigate that avenue.
