NorthEast Corvette Forum Bar Thread

You can find the list of rules here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=109

But also:

- no signature posts when replying in a bar thread. It's kinda like spittin' on the floor.

- Only one bar thread at a time.

- After 1000 replies, it gets locked and a new one starts by a different person. Call it what you will so long as you specify its a bar thread.

- Behave or begone
---------------------------------

Old Man Winter is getting ready to throw out his first serious snowball of the season, so make sure you've got extra oil in the tank and candles in the cupboard.

This bar is self-serve 'cuz it looks like we're all going to be stuck inside for a while.

Wouldn't it be easier to sneak it in during a conjugal visit?

Anyone looking for a good 4X4 pickup? I'm selling the BFT (Big Effin Truck) 'cuz I bought an SUV yesterday (2004 Envoy XUV).

1996 Dodge 2500 4X4 Lariat SLT standard cab- 178,000 miles - rebuilt 5.9Liter engine at about 128K miles, transferable 5 yr warranty, 4spd auto transmission rebuilt this spring, still under 1 yr warranty. Includes color-matched cap and liner.

We used it to move last fall and just don't need something this big any more. Great winter vehicle and useful the rest of the year too. Asking $5,500 neg.

(wish we had a general for sale section here...)

I saw that earlier today. Disgusting. Out of all the cars to pick, hell a yugo would have made a better KITT. That show will die an agonizing ratings death, I can tell you that. I give it 2 seasons and that's being extremely generous.

If GM would have gotten off the their butts and brought the Camaro (and Trans Am?) to market sooner, maybe this abomination wouldn't have happened. Why IS GM taking so long? Chrysler turns out new models left and right, Porsche gives us the Caymen in 3 years concept to showroom. We've been waiting forever for this car, to the point where the actual release can't be anything but anti-climatic.

GM is not in a rush, Who is going to get a Camaro when the Vette starts out at 41K? Everyone thats going to run into Dodge to buy a Challanger, will run right out! Dealers are asking 10K over same would be with Camaro...... I don't understand people that pay 60K for a Saleen or 50K for Cobra Shelby500 , yea sure they are rare, but thats Z06 money, a World class sports car!

$41K? 2007 leftover? The Chevy website says 2008 Corvette prices start at $46K.

so 50 miles and an hour and a half later.......this thing is an absolute animal......puts the Z with the turbos to shame, lights the tires up at 70 at half throttle.....these pilot sports have a death wish...

of course 20 miles into it just after I filled up, the effin fuel gauge goes to 0, check for leaks and say whatever, and keep driving. Gonna mess with that tommorrow. If I didn't just put a new gas tank into the car a few hours ago when it was empty and not severely messy like it would be now it wouldn't be so bad, but jeez....I'm hoping just the plug into the sender is loose and the monster pump is fueling the engine and the oem is a loose plug...I'll find that out tommorrow between passes with the snowblower
