The rumor is true>
Important Announcement:
We have confirmed that AC Delco has discontinued the Gold UPF44 Oil Filter. We are hopeful that our local AC distributor can fill our outstanding orders. Beyond that I am sorry to say that unless AC Delco receives pressure from our customers this superior filter will no longer be available! To date we have sold over 1000 UPF44 filters!

I wouldn't get too upset over it. AC probably is unhappy with the profit margin and is gonna dump them... there is not enough demand. My dealer said I'm the only Corvette owner at their shop who uses it.
I've been using the UPF-44 since the post break-in oil change... if it's not available, I'll either save the $$$ and just use the UP-44 or buy another name brand high grade filter (Mobil-1 has one too). The different brand high grade filters are probably made in the same straw hut anyways :lol: .
