sun's out, and I'm bringin' the sunshine...

I wanted to express my appreciation to everyone who came out an made the 3rd annual Vettes for Vets a major success. I know many gave up a Saturday morning to be here, and some drove 2 hours to just arrive at the starting point and I wanted to say Thank you. An event of this size can get a bit tricky at times and some glitches occured with missed assignments at intersections but I was told some corvette drivers stepped up and handled the crossing so other corvettes could proceed safely. I spoke and wheeled around many veterans myself and saw many of them hold back emotions of what WE did as a group of corvette owners for them. Thats the point WE CARED ENOUGH to do this and would do it again in a heartbeat. I tried to thank as many as I could personnaly and to those I didn;t get the chance to, please accept my respect and thank-you for supporting this cause. To the Mendham Township, Morris township, Harding township, Bernardsville and Bernards Township Police thank-you. Brigadir General Phillips, the HumVee team, amd all the support officers..thank-you. Last my wife and daughters. thank-you .for giving me the opportunity to take time away from our own lives to follow through with my project, I appreciate the fact you understand how important this is to me and want to see this happen year after year.. Thank you

You did a GREAT job organizing this wonderful event!

It was very moving to spend time with the veterans and hear their stories. I spent a lot of time with Tony, he's a WWII vet who at 102 is as sharp as a tack. It was very inspirational to say the least.
