Maybe instead of dwelling on WHO complained, can someone post what the complaint was????????? Was is the lack of "event only" threads, and the abundance of "funny, fluff, poking fun at friends" threads?

If it was the latter, its probably someone who hasn't been busted on yet.
I say, lets make him feel welcome. Just post your pic, and we will "tweak it" nice & special for you!  :smash:  :D

had a bad day today :mad

crashed my hooptymobile and now this! i don't understand why someone would be so ****. if they don't like a topic, then just scroll down by it and don't click on it. IS THAT SO DIFFICULT! :mad i know we have very strict rules here, but REALLY, are we that bad?!?! we do crack on each other, but we are one of the closest friends here in the NE and very tight.

well i shall say no more about this other than please mr. :cry baby hopefully i'll never run into you in my world and find any violations with your car. i can be very picky too :reddevil

I like the [Event] idea also. I spend 90% of my time in NE because its sooo much fun and more personal compared to OT. Lets try the [event] idea and see how that goes.

Maybe something along the lines of what we did in the Off Topic section ages ago would work. When we had too many babe posts with misleading titles we put in a requirement for a [babe] to be in the title of every babe thread.

Maybe we could have something similar here. Only it would be [EVENT] for events or something like that.
This is an excellent idea. I think it's obvious that the moderators are really working on good solution to this without trying to ruin our fun. I'm sure everything will work itself out over time, and we'll still be able to enjoy the greatest forum ever! NE-4-LIFE :D :D :D

Before this gets out of hand .... let me say this ... whoever the garage queen or waxer was who complained, will be the first one asking us questions about what happened at our next event ... or better yet, asking questions in the staging lanes the next CC. So, having said that - all I ask for is, more Bliss bashing and we're good to go ;) ... nah, but seriously - the NE section is one of the primary reasons I turn my computer 'on' after work every darn day !

OK, my 2cents worth, I like the idea of [event], that sounds like a reasonable and simple solution. As far as the NE section, look at how many posts and topics that are in the NE as compared to the other sections :)

It seems to me that the Northeast has evolved into more then just an EVENTS category. I log on to the CF everyday and go directly to the Northeast to see what everyone is up to. I really enjoy the camaraderie of the Northeast Members and finding out when and where events are happening. Some I can make, most I can't, but I am always there in spirit and greatly enjoy reading the posts about them. Through the Northeast Forum many friendships have evolved, and since we all have to work for a living, this venue has become the cornerstone for friends to meet and goof off a little. If anyone steps out of line the mods will deal with them. It's all in good fun and we stay connected. If someone feels left out then that's on them, for all are welcome to participate. I have met some really great people here and feel that the Northeast Section exemplifies what the Corvette Forum is all about. Just my 2 cents.
