It looks like I will be heading to Baltimore Ave. in Philly Friday to visit my sister in-law.While I'm there I would like to know where to go for a Philly cheese steak and maybe see some of Philly members.

Reason: wrong street
Just about any local pizza shop owned by someone whose name ends
in a vowel, will make a good cheesesteak.
The roll is the key, good roll = great cheesesteak .
Good point as well.
I still go with Jims for the authentic experience, plus you get to watch the freaks on South Street. I have eaten them all from Larry's Bellyfiller by St. Joes to Guey Louis to Tony Lukes, that place in Roxborough not to far from Textile/Philly U (forget the name offhand); Pats, Genos, blah bah, blah. Jims is still my fav, just realize that if you wait in line too long inside, you may smell like onions. Fried onions by the way, smell just like B.O. My cousin and I made the mistake of going into Jims real early as they were opeing and starting to fry the onions. We were in there for a good half hour and when we got home we realized how bad we smelled and had to throw away or clothes.

As you MAY get a good cheesesteak at these places, you will NOT get the real deal "Philly Cheese Steak"
Geno's, Pat's and Tony Luke's are the "real deal"
======================
Tony Luke's is your best bet, being an out of towner. It's the easiest to access and find off the Interstate.
Coming North on I-95 take exit 17 for Broad St (this exit is while you are still on the bridge near the Sports Complex) This exit will put you on Broad St heading north. Go about 2 blocks and turn right onto Pattison Ave. Follow that about 10 blocks to Front St. Turn left onto Front. Follow Front St about 1 mile to Oregon Ave and turn right. As soon as you turn right, Tony Lukes will be on the left (before the underpass)
Coming South on I-95 take exit 19 for walt Whitman Bridge and Front St. Once on exit ramp stay RIGHT for Front St. At bottom of exit turn left onto Front St. Then turn right at next light. As soon as you turn right, Tony Lukes will be on the left (before the underpass)
