Default Memorial Day-Weekend

This coming weekend signifies the beginning of Summer for all American's . BBQ's are lite, beach houses are opened , the shorelines are packed and traffic just plan sucks till labor day. Lets all put aside sometime to remember in our prays those who made the ultimate sacrific for our nation. Remember their Families and loves ones they left behind. Also remember to keep safe our Armed Forces that serve us today in areas where many fear to go while we sit watch there. Whoever says right or wrong this men and women are order to carry out the orders of the President which is on behalf of our nation. They weren't chosen to do this , they volunteered to do this. Keep them safe and a speedy return home to a grateful nation.

Good for you Jerry. That's the true spirit of Memorial Day. Sadly most of the folks I live around (they're very young) don't have a clue as to the true meaning of the holiday. You sir are a true American.

The fact that some don't know the real meaning of this holiday is truly upsetting.

We here in the CFNE have the distinct honor of knowing someone who has just begun his second deployment in Iraq. Kim's (SpeedRacerGirl) hubby, Chris, will be in country tomorrow (Saturday). He is a member of an MP unit and will be deployed there for just about another year.

Let's use this coming holiday weekend to make a pledge to remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for this great country. Let's also keep the fighting men and women in our prayers and pray for their, and Chris', safe return home to their loved ones and friends. Like Jerry said, they are there because they VOLUNTEERED to be our first line of defense in a far away land with the hope that we will never have to fight the enemy here, on our soil.

Godspeed to Chris and his crew. He will be in my prayers.

Charlie

+65000.....I love my country, and while not perfect, I support it and all those who fight for our freedoms. If you are not PROUD of this country and do not support it and everything that it stands for, then get the f*ck out. I wish Chris and all the rest of our military a very safe return home
