Just move your rear ones to the front, no extensions needed. You do either need an adapter (since the front and rear plugs are different), or cut and splice the wires (put the front O2 plug onto the rear O2 sensor).
Forget the rears and have them tuned out.
As for ECS and others in the area being a little to high, they may be, but I guarantee that if you ever have an issue, they'll bend over backwards to help you out. Your paying for that experience and customer service. Exactly why I brought my car to them yesterday. Could have had it done locally a little bit cheaper, but by someone who's never done anything like that before, and had to learn on my car.
I've gone the cheap route more times than I can count, and always end up paying more in the end and regretting my decsion.

Truer words were never spoken. Sometimes the "tax" is worth the price of admission in the long run. Do you think Summit would warry a ring and pinion? ECS did!!
