Damn Bob, I was hoping to land you as an instructor. Then again I guess this being a new track, we'll all be getting out feet wet.
well I signed up for 2 days - advance group. Not sure if I am going to be able to make it so I didnt want to commit to instructing and then back out (plus I think I would be worthless as an instructor since I have no idea where to go on the track myself.).

I believe it would pass depending on how it is mounted to the floor. You do not need side mounts and it has to pass the "broom stick" test which basically means that a broom stick would need to fit between the rollbar and the top of your head.
I was told it needed to be welded or bolted to the frame to pass, not attached to the floor. I actually havent seen a 2 pt bar, where is that attached? Heres a pic of the broom stick test, some say you need 2" but most say at least 1" between your head and the stick. (Not me or my car but found this on the web)

Chances are I'll be in a green or yellow group initially so if they aren't running the advanced at the same time, I'll pull you into my car and we can figure it out together.

My apologies Steve! I couldn't see the support bars and figured your roll bar as a 2 point bar. Looks like you're good to go!
Stock GY runflats with about 2000 mi on them. These are spares so I don't mind grinding them up. Not the stickiest but for my first track event with the car so they should be fine. I plan on taking it a bit easy.

you should run stock tires for a few HPDE events before even thinking of moving to a more aggressive tire. In the long run you will be much happier that you learned on a tire that doesnt stick as well.
(now to think of a creative lie to tell the fiance as to why I have not bought the pergo for our condo )
China has a major economic boom going on and they love pergo, they even use it on the walls and cielings, so the US supply is sold out till September. (Married 20 yrs, I can get out on anything

Problem is my cousin just bought some cheap at BJs.

I'll probably do the same thing. Still have my original wagon wheels with the stock tires on them sitting in my closet.
