See I'm always nice to even the JO cops. Even though I'm young I've had my fair share of run ins with LEO's. Always be respectful, and just agree with what they say. I've been screamed at by cops and still gotten out of tickets. Sometimes they will be courteous, others they will tell you to stop driving like an *******. Also, if you do have a PBA card, never give it to them right away with your license and reg. They don't like that at all.
Sorry but I have to disagree. In my experience, if you let the cop leave the side of the car with your info, you are asked to remain in the car. And there is no further opportunity to discuss your personal PBA card or anything else by that time. So, I don't really know when your special circumstance warrants a reduced penalty from the trooper, but you need to spring your entire load right away or it will just be too late to alter the police decision in your matter.
