MONSTER time at ECS
The tile said it all. Today I finally got to take out my Z on a run with the new motor ( Alex's Fall foliage run). The gang at ECS wiped up a phenomenal engine . As with all builds of this size there are bound to be some problems . After about 500 miles a few gremlins showed up but John and Dough ( note to self -----DON'T mention Chris he just ate donuts all day 
) put them to rest in short order ( all but one were Defective parts ) and I now have a NA engine I will put up against any 420 CI NA out there
In my opinion there are only two shops in this part of the country I consider truly great Corvette shops, ECS is one of them.
After the way , Dough and John handled the issues that arouse *I am sure I chose wisely .
*********I now have about 1200 miles on the engine , well long story short it pulls from idle to 3500 like a freight train then slams you in the seat . This engine revs like a small block and pulls like a big block.

OH did I mention , it's a 420 CI Stroker. Its old school , noisy , smelly and cantankerous , kind of like me,

Rods: Compstar 6.125 "H" beam rods
Rings: Total seal Stainless top ring 1.5x1.5x3.0
Bearings: King Engine bearing
Block : GM production LS3*
Heads : GM LS6 243 casting ported and polised by Total engine Airflow
Cam : Custom ECS Grind in the 240's area ( don't you hate it when they won't tell )
Headers: American racing 1 7/8 with cats and full stainless midsection.
Mellings high volume oil pump, Manley LS2 double roller timing chain
Fast 92mm intake with Ls2 throttle body
LPE high performance C5 fuel pump
NGK TR55 spark plugs
160 degree thermostat
ARP Head stud kit
GM 6.2L head gaskets
Dewitts aluminum radiator
ECS custom trans brace
Hardened output shaft
ECS custom valve cover breather
Results
545 HP-----505 TQ
Not bad for a NA motor

I got the sneak preview the day OLD-Guy picked it up!!! It wasn't easy keeping it secret! I could see the grin on your face yesterday driving that thing on those twisties and on the LIE.

I had the pleasure of following old guy yesterday on the foliage cruise through the twisties. The car sounds GREAT! After watching him kick the *** out at speed I realized it was the real deal. It was chilly in the morning but my son and I had the windows down listening to that stroker sing. Good luck with it.

It was nice cruising home with you last night I had the pleasure of following old guy yesterday on the foliage cruise through the twisties. The car sounds GREAT! After watching him kick the *** out at speed I realized it was the real deal. It was chilly in the morning but my son and I had the windows down listening to that stroker sing. Good luck with it.

Congrats Bob. Nice Job E.C.S. I remember you bringing it up to me that you wanted a stroker motor at that Hooters run In CT. Of Course i told you to go for it and Bring it to E.C.S. Now take it easy with you challenging all N/A motors
