I saw this idea over in the C6 general discussion. Sounds kinda cool.

I'm thinking of cruising down the Ocean Parkway with the top off and heat blasting.

If it isn't too cold, that just may be the ticket. Sure beats $150 p.p. at some ripoff restaurant.

I'd save it for New Years Day, no drunks, and L. E. shouldn't be looking too hard. But if you do, please be safe.

There will be check points set up everywhere looking for drunk drivers.

The two nights a year to try to avoid the roads if possible are New Years Eve and St. Patricks Day.
I had to work most New Years Eve's of my adult life and now that I'm retired I try to get home early on that night and stay home.

I agree with the responses. Keep the vettes off the road on new years eve. Why risk getting nailed by a drunk driver.

Looks like the rain and snow will be coming so it's a no go.

I figured since I'm close to the Wantagh Parkway, I would leave the house about 11:45 PM, get on the Ocean Pkwy and go. I'm not worried about check points since I won't be drinking and I have a front plate. Besides, all the drunks should still be home drinking and I'll be home and asleep by 12:30 AM.
