How is that area? We were looking at the Colts Neck area before but they home builders built the house too close to the road and it was too deep (like 6ft) in comparison to the road and they wanted a retardedly large amount of money to move it back and raise it. But I found a good house in Wall Township, is it a good area? Any flooding or anything? Thanks, Suke.
I lived and worked in Hillside, it aint that great... but when you're lonely, you'll occasionally get that burglar prowling around your backyard trying to break in ... or some punk kid who just has to scratch your car... or some nosey neighbor that always comes by to give you advice on things you shouldn't be doing in because they are against zoning policy that no one but him gives a damn about.... yea Hillside isn't too bad of a place.
I work in S. Belmar which borders Wall and I frequently have deliveries there. The area is nice with nice houses and people. The cops however are real SOB's.
:yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:
Never had to deal with them, but thats cause i think about it everytime i drive through Wall. Otherwise its really nice!
Lots of forum members in the neighboring areas as well

Newark -- Oh please it can't be that bad --or could it ?
I use to work at Gould ave UPS --now a real combat zone. Trailer drives don't even stop for red lights--if they did the rig be gone shame really :mad
Well, you can blame my father for the cops in Wall, he was a cop from 1961 to 1987. In 1961 there were three cops and one police car. Basically, he created the uniforms you see them wearing now (white, wide brim hats, stripe on the pants etc...) wrote most of the policys, helped with the police headquarter development blah blah blah He retired as Captain, and he was shafted, to put it bluntly, and he retired.(I still get ticketed :smash: )
Anyway, Wall taxes are not bad, we just received a new tax assesment, which was in our favor. And compared to north Jersey, taxes are cheap. I pay roughly $4500 a year for a house and land valued at $250k.
Traffic is probably the worst part of living hear, but if you know the back roads, it really isn't too bad, and the area is safe. And we have Wall Staduim :D

And it only gets worse when summer arrives. :yesnod:
But you are only 5 minutes away from belmar beach with tons of honeys in the summers. I dont mind the bumper to bumper traffic on ocean ave :yesnod: :D :D :yesnod:

I guess this would be the best reason to live there, but now we're looking at Monroe...
C5_Pig, Hillside isn't an extension of Newark, tell all your Newark ricers to get the hell out, they keep invading Hillside.
