I have had about 12 epidurals in the last 2 years and there is nothing to them. Don't get me wrong, all surgical procedures have risk, but this is a very common practice. He will be fine, but saying this...My prayers for him also. I have five discs that are damaged and continue to have shots, etc. along with surgery when applicable. Some epidurals work and some don't. It usually takes more than one. Good Luck.
