Never done the "tap" thing....but, been plenty of times to Hunter Mtn. REAL nice country, actually, been there for German October Fest...lots of ..use to be great country roads, have not been for a few years. I'm not sure its close enough for a "day" trip? But definite possibility for an overnighter.

been to hunter mountain many times. My dad was a NYC cop and they had a policemans camp up there. Unfortunately I have a wedding that weekend.

Actually I have 4 weddings this summer, including my oldest daughter. It's going to be a busy, expensive summer!

Steve; I'm beginning to think heading out your way makes more sense... Over the N.Y. line is too far for some of the "mid-staters" to do day trips... Just 'cause I like it over here, doesn't mean everyone should flock this way. Make a good list of brewpubs and we'll do it.

NY isn't too far. NYS run would be good ... just need a date that works.

Been to a brunch run here a couple years ago. Nice drive. We could take 199 over towards rhinebeck. Nice twisty road there.

http://www.skytopsteakhouse.com/contact.html

There's a few other spots in rhinebeck/redhook/hyde park area, but we need to check out their parking first.

brew pub hopping in a 400 horsepower car makes me nervous,
The wife doesn't drink, but she refuses to drive my car!
