I've helped a friend do a vette intake before, and helped another with a GTO take his intake off several times. The GTO's take about 15 minutes to replace everything.
Effin TransAm's/Camaros suck to work on since most of the engine sits under the cowl. Most of the time I was working up to my elbows without seeing what I was working on.
Broke the oil pressure sending unit off (or maybe it was already broke), but that cost me a trip to the local pepboys. Had to buy a special socket too, since I didn't have a 1 1/16". All they had was 12 point, but that should work.....right?

Another trip to the sears around the corner and a 6 point deepwell did the trick and I got the fricking broken one out of the block.
Everything is hooked up now except for the egr blockoff plate. I'll have my guys make me up one tomorrow in the machine shop. Should see tomorrow how it performs.
One thing is certain, the vette looked sad as the TA has been getting a bunch of mods lately. Will have to plan something special for her soon.

Sorry I missed your trip today. It sounded fun but I just had too much going on. Spent most of the weekend doing work around the house, both of em.

Sucks trying to maintain two homes.
Hope everyone had a great time.
