my top flew off...

So I was on I-80 last night.. and woooshhhh.. my top flies off.

Thank G-d no one was behind me. The latches must not have been secure.
99 Vette, red.
Anyone have a link/contact for a removable top??

I am always concerned about that often double and triple check the latches after putting the top back on.

There are a couple for sale in the C5 for sale section.

i don't see it!
looks like they just have a convertible fold down top for sale.

Welcome to the club! My top flew off about a year ago...scared the $hit out of me and i was very lucky that i had a mini-van behind me about 500 feet away and she avoided hitting my top

yea happened to me once too. thanks god there was no one behind me and the paint was fine on it. actually landed on its bottom and the latches go a little scraped up

Happened to me as well.. only not in my vette, in my old trans am.. with glass ttops

yeah its sucks!!!

In any case, try a thread, or also you can look into... cringe at the thought... salvage yards.. they might have one, and its a fraction of the cost, even if you have to paint it
