Can you please explain to me the communication system you have with your main hub? I call them up yesterday to ask if i can pick my package up instead of waiting for delivery because its only 20 min away...they say i cant pick it up until after they have unsuccessfully attempted to deliver it once :bs
So then i ask what time approximately they will be coming today ....they narrowed it down to 7am -9pm... Good thing they pinpointed teh day for me :mad
so i call back up at 11:30 to ask for a better window...they tell me before 7, depends on what the driver wants to do  ...i asked if they could get in contact with the driver for an approximate...they couldn't :nonod:
However last time they were able to contact the driver when they fidged up and only delivered on of two pieces... you want to defend or affirm my feelings towards UPS? :U
They never flub it up when you don't care about a delivery BUT as soon as you order something and want it yesterday they always flub it up. AND it isn't just UPS, FEDX is guilty too!
I think it's called life, just deal with it!
Thankfully I have no communication with any other building but my own.
I cantell youwhat we do at my building.
If an attempt was made and you want to get the package, you can come down to the building before closing(usually 7:00pm) and if the driver is back, you can get your package.
If the driver is still on the road, you may be able to wait in the parking lot till yousee him pull in and stop him before he parks the truck.
If you miss him, then hopefully before they close you informed them to hold for P/u and come back the next day and get it during normal business hours.
They can contact the driver on the road and narrow down a time. We have a kind of instant message system in out DIAD's. If it's the regular driver he should know what time he'll be there, they are just BSing you or just plain lazy. Did youcall the 800 #? If you did, that would explain a lot, they don't even work for UPS, they are just an answering service.
