In Monroe Township... We gave the deposit today and are signing tomorrow I think. Anyone live down there? How far is it from etown? Any comments on the area?
Heyyy IM looking for a house in Monroe, you stole my house :boxing
You are actually my neighbor now! And you are about 5 minutes from Etown... nice choice in location  Where abouts in Monroe Twp are you? I am having no luck in my house hunt, I want to pull all my hair out:(
We're going to be living around the schools and that water tower, the area we live in is not septic or well water, I think. Where in Monroe have you been looking for a house?
Monroe is like by Highstown or something, isn't it - in boonies of Route 130 and stuff, right ?
I don't know, I really don't know much about the area or what its by.
Heyyy C4 Suke, the new development near the big water tower on Rt 522? That is right down the street from Woffen- he is at Heatherwood Farms on GravelHill Spotswood Rd. We rent a place in Jamesburg :U right off of 522 like 5 minutes from there... I have been looking in that area of Monroe and Englishtown, and some parts of Old Bridge as well. My big problem is that I don't want to live in a development, I want to live far away from any neighbors, so I need to find a house tucked away in the woods somewhere or a buildable lot that doesn't cost an arm and a leg but with this real estate market, reasonably and priced don't belong in the same sentence
CONGRATS on the house though:) That is very exciting, you live about 2 miles from the track if that... 2 miles and about 3 turns
Good Move Suke, I hope all goes well for you in your new home. I might suggest you install a beer meister, that close to E-TOWN the days itinerary will be Suke"s Place/E-Town/Suke's Place.
I hope to experience E-Town soon and will have to check out your new place.
Good Luck,
Joe V.

Well then you better move out to where Chris lives. Now that's BOONYLAND, the nearest food mart is 20 minutes away.
My brother-in-law bought a house in one of those new developements in Monroe last year. Beautiful area. He has no complaints.
On Saturdays, you can hear the cars running at Etown from his deck.

Thanks everyone. I didn't know it was so close to the track, thats awesome! Too bad I'll be selling the Vette to help pay for the house, I'll still go the corvette challenges though. If everything goes as planned we'll have like a little over 2000 sq ft of driveway so bring on the vettes! That would make an awesome picture.
Yea finding good lots is hard. When we first started looking at houses we excluded anything under 5 acres... but all the houses on the 5 acres or more weren't really worth the price they were selling them for. The better bigger lots with good prices were too south for the commute. Finding a nice big lot in Monroe was kind of hard so we decided to just get a nice house and a decent sized lot. It is in a new development, only about 1.74 acre lot, no new houses have been built, we'll be the first ones up... I just hope that we aren't the only ones there and no one else buys a house, unless that means we get all of the land that was reserved for other houses at a low price, that would be awesome.
Thanks, I know I'll regret selling the Vette but its more towards the downpayment. I'll be getting a $500 to $1k camaro though, so watch out everybody! :D
