Default Question about E-Town

I plan on heading to the track for the first time on Wednesday night. I was under the impression that wednesday's were "test and tune" but on the schedule it shows "Time Trials" What is the difference?? Can I go to a time trial if I just want to run my car a few times and get a feel for what it is like to race?

No difference, time trials are the same thing. You can just go and run your car.

Yes, you can run, depending on how many people are there, you might only get 2 runs in, but last time I went on a Wednesday I got 3 runs in.

"Racing" starts at 6 p.m., the gates open at 5 p.m. GET THERE EARLY AND YOU USUALLY DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH GETTING 3 or 4 PASSES. If you are willing to "Hot Lap" your car you can sometimes see 3 passes before 7 p.m. (that's if nobody breaks of course) :yesnod:

Early means yes between 2 and 5. 4:30 might be good. Hot lap means you make one pass after another which gets the car hot.

Haven't heard anything.

There are still 5 Napp's running the place, I would think even after Rich and Vince gone they would keep it going as a family business.

Now if we could just get everyone who lives near there to move.

No news is good news but ANYTHING could be possible.
Remember we're talking about a family and a lot of money.
Money brings out the worst in people. I hope that doesn't happen here.

It must be the people who live near the track that start that rumor. I heard that rumor last year too. I emailed E-town about it last year and they seemed annoyed by it and replied in bold capital letters "it's just a rumor, we are not going anywhere!"

I'd bet the most recent rumor started 'cause they sold some land up near the flea market last year.... then they invested in the road course. I wouldn't worry about it :D

Well.. after all this, with the questions and excitement I had for today.. last night I come to find out my brake pads are shot... :mad .. something I should have taken care of long ago.. Needless to say, the last thing I want to do is race with bad brakes, so my "opening night" is going to have to wait until next week.. :(

BTW: Anyone in central Jersey want to help me replace my pads?? Sucks not having a garage.. ;)
