Default early spring.....

For Posse 'members' and others suffering from corvette withdrawal, I have made "arrangements" to have an early spring this year. As some here may know I have magical powers and, among other things, can control the weather.

I have spoken to Anemi. Boreas, Hyades, Selene (for Jeff), and Zephryus, among others. We have an understanding, and as a gift to the Posse and those that believe, an early Spring will arrive. Trust me.

777;

Ahhh the Goddess of the Moon !

Early spring sounds great to me. My insurance comes back on 3/1.

I am already booked for the end of May but anyone see this:

http://www.corvettemuseum.com/regist...rum/info.shtml

CF cruise in at the museum. Tours that include cigars and burbon!

Sounds tempting, but I will be in MD on vacation.

Hi guys,

I'm hoping for a early spring too! If it rains hard enough Sunday night most of the salt will wash off most of road, then we could take our cars out. But, we probably aren't lucky enough to be done with the winter.

Nino - I have yet to see your magical powers (m.s.).

I have been wondering if any of the Posse might want to get together for Sunday brunch somewhere? If there is any interest I'll start a new thread. Does anyone have a suggestion of a place and date.

Is there a groundhog involved in this process somewhere?

What the hell ... the pros hardly ever get it right so there's no downside going with you. Can we all do a dance for spring or something?

My '68 is at the Corvette Connection in Bolton now. It will be there, I expect, until the end of February. The car from the windshield back is completely apart inside/outside. Found some rust on the A pillars so they have to be cut and replaced. Also found rust on the inside metal part of the driver's door. The skin is being saved but the metal has been cut and will be replaced. Luckily the Corvette Connection had a '68 door which I can use for donor. The passenger side door had some minor rust that is fixable. Otherwise the rear body has held pretty good considering it is 42 years old. Got some nice pictures. The '01 will have the insurance back by March 1, perhaps sooner. So I expect to be set for an early spring cruise. I am ready. If anybody can take care of the weather, Nino can.

Tom, I like your suggestion for a get together some Sunday morning for breakfast/brunch. Why don't you get a thread going.

John, have you found anything yet?

Post up pix of the 68 when you can. It sounds like you'll have a new car when they get done. Will you finish the job with a complete paint or come back to paint at a later date?

If Nino goes outside on Feb 1 and sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter.

Nino: Pleeeese stay inside that day!

No, I will wait a couple of years for painting. That will make it 2012. It will be all prime black until then. No more blue. The interior will remain blue though. The color I am thinking is the C6 cyber grey. Yes, I will try to post something soon. Good luck with your quest for your new one.

Good call Nino. Just don't use it up too soon as hopefully it will be a long cruisin' summer.

As long as my rebuilt differential gets here before Nino's early spring, I'll be happy.

Nothing worse than a nice day watching all the corvettes go by while mine is in the garage in pieces.

I'm ready... We'll see what the weekend brings re: clean roads. Saturday and Sunday will find me working on the "new" Corvette garage. A project I started in May and have been slowly pounding on since. Sheetrock is up and I hope to tape and prime this weekend, if the heater gets repaired... ( the vette would like to get out this Sunday, 'tho...) Keep us posted, Tom. : Dave and Deni

ANEMI: THE ANEMOI were the gods of the four directional winds-which confuses some people to miss wine cruises, time, place etc.

BOREAS: the North-Wind-cold, artic, freezing, causes one to decorate a sports car, why waste your time with this clown?

HYADES: The Hyades, a cluster of stars 152 light years away that makes the head of Taurus, the Bull.- perfect- Bull S.!

SELENE: Selene, the moon goddess, is known for her countless love affairs--yea, lets count her....sheesh

ZEPHRYUS: Zephyros the god of spring breezes---light in the loafers, slippers, however you want to say it...

Sounds like a lot of "HOT AIR" to me.....you must turn your efforts to:
NOTOS: Notos the god of summer rain-storms.
He is one to make a deal with......(glad I could help)
