Corvettes for Clunkers
Car and Driver reports that among the cars traded in on the "Cash for Clunkers" program, 123 were Corvettes from 1984 to 1995.
I'm guessing that these weren't the people putting 12 coats of Zaino on their cars.

Read that myself - sad indeed.
I want to know who traded the Aston Martin DBS/DB7, or the Triumph TR-7 in for C4C.

I've seen some Grand Nationals in pretty bad shape, usually with doors and rear quarters rotted out.
But the Aston Martin I don't get. Now matter how bad of shape it was in, it had to be worth more than the $4500 credit that they got.

They are suppose to seize the engine and scrap them. But I bet the Aston Martin got lost on the way to the scrap heap.

Couldn't agree more. Smelled like another automaker hand out and redistribution of wealth tactic to me.
I'd bet money that the Aston Martin got "lost" on its way to the scrapyard. There is no way a running Aston didn't fetch more than the govt. trade in credit.

I'm not sure what you mean, if I am not mistaken the VA is federally funded. The feds collect taxes to be able to give them their money.
Where exactly does the VA get their money?
