JP Called a little while ago,and said it was a COMPLETE ZOO. He mentioned there might be over 500 cars and they we're on their first time trial since 9 a.m. I think He ran a 12.3X something last night @109 with the big tires and a 1.6X 60' That's impressive!

Re: [E Town] Today.. (JD 90 383)
500 was the max amount of cars they were going to tech today and I just talked to dennis and he said they were a ton of car that arn't going to be able to race. The pits are full and also the back lot and spector side.
THIS IS DUE TO THE POWER OF IMPORT RACING.
The handwritting is on the wall" IMPORT RACING MAKE MONEY FOR THE TRACK"
in a way this is true.. cuz all these ricers in civic's with just a filter think they can run a 13.xx in the quarter cuz they beat a 4 cyl mustang with 5.0 badges
You're right Guys. I went to Englishtown this past Wednesday. JP even warned not to go. It was like the fast and the furious! TONS of imports...slippery track. O well. I think they're here to stay.
I guess they'd also show up in flocks if CT Dragway Re-Opened.
WoW 500 + cars.....i was going to go, but when I woke up and saw how nice it was i decided to work on the car.....
hope everyone who went had a good time
Yikes! John P must be bouncing off the walls with impatience! I know I would be....but what can you do with that many cars... I guess it's to be expected. One thing is for sure, E Town made out alright today.
I should have had my intake gaskets done today! Too bad they won't get here 'til next week. O well.
I talked to Panuzzo, he made 2 time runs from 9am to 3:30pm and now they were starting 1st. round. His call is 12.99 and faster, 3 full lanes of cars.
6.5 hours to get 2 runs???  I cant imagine waiting 6+ hours for 2 runs. No patience. Glad I opted out today. Just curious, is this what we have in store for us going forward???? Somebody know the answer or willing to guess at this one?
I just got back home and have seen tons of ricer fart cans all over the local streets and on Route 9 coming from ETown. All still had their shoe-polish numbers still on. No prob with Etown making money, but shouldnt we have some priority and not just on CC dates?????
So what are the best days/times to go? I went last Saturday, showed up at 12:30 and got 4 runs by the time I left at 3PM! That was acceptable. When are those days???????

Re: [E Town] Today.. (portmgr198)
Anytime there is a combined import race where will be alot of cars.
Plus they pay good money to win.
4 classes paying $500. to win and $600 for King Of The Hill.
$1100. for someone is not a bad payday.
there were 550 cars allowed in...and the majority of them were in division's 1+2 14.49 and above....so those were the only races i was able to see (:
because otherwise i was in the staging lanes...but it was pretty fun anyway...too many damn people in my opinion, but i got some good pictures of ricers :D
In The first round, the guy I raced had a .956 light, was dialed in at 10.02 & ran 12.30 (a 3 sec package) & I had a .487 RED :mad & lost..
Maybe it was for the best, as I hit rain when I was almost home & my drag radials are about bald.. kinda scary on wet roads..& glad didn't have to stay any longer...
