Default installing rotors myself

hey guys i just bought a set of (front and rear) slotted and drilled rotors for my 98 vette. I also bought a pair of hawk brake pads (front and rear). ive never done my own rotors before. Is this a job i can do myself? I have changed my front brake pads before but have never done the rears myself. also is there anything i need to know like do i have to bleed any of the lines to do this. Any info would help thanks

pads and rotors should be pretty easy, at least on my car that hard part was getting the rear rotor off the emergency brake pads.

getting the calipers back on with new pads and rotors might require a c-clamp to compress them, but that should be the hardest part.

never done the entire job, just pulled mine apart to put chrome pad covers on and pull wheels off so the eradispeed rotors get cleaned every few months.

Yes it is a DIY project. I learned how to do brakes recently. Make sure you have the right tools.
C-Clamp, Torque Wrench, Jack Stands, etc.

Hell yeah!!!

Easy swap with 1/2" drive breaker bar or impact

drive to Ct and I'll lend a hand

follow proper torque spec and you will be fine

Easy as pie.

Only "difficult" part is removing caliper mounting brackets from hubs. Get that breaker bar and muscle ready.

Get one of these, brake caliper spreader, best $10.00 I've ever spent. While you're in there, change your bleeders to speed bleeders, makes bleeding brakes a very simple easy one man job.
