What is there to do around here? I've been living in Lexington for the last 8 months and the weekends are really boring. I don't drink so going to to bars/clubs doesn't really interest me anymore, and it seems that's all there is to do.
I know there's the aquarium (eh..), and it's baseball season now, but besides that, there doesn't seem to be much to do around here that doesn't involve getting too drunk to stand up.
Are there any car shows, autox, etc coming up? I'll probably be here until mid-july.
I know I haven't posted in this section in a few years. I need to start doing that again.
I am in Lexington, too. There are a lot of local cruise nights around the area. Lexington even had its first annual car show downtown last Sunday.
At Patriot's Place in Foxboro on every other Thursday, they host one of the largest cruise nights in the area. Usually there are over 1.000 vehicles in attendance.
I got my lap times down to 19.22. Without tuning the karts before going out, its almost impossible to go any faster. I'd love some competition if you want to go though.
After Memorial Day, Kimball Farm in Westford, MA has an awesome cruise night. All cars welcome and usually a great mix of exotics, muscle cars and of course Vettes. They have a band and lots of grilled food. Across the street is ice cream, mini golf, bumper boats, etc.
I am in no way affiliated with them, I have just found it to be an excellent way to enjoy the warm Thursday nights during the summer.
If you enjoy performance driving events (autoXs, HPDE, TT,etc...) motorsportreg.com is a good site to visit. Use the calender feature to find event schedules and the clubs/organizations that run them. You can find events and information about local organizations as well. There's a list of local events in the NE events thread on the NE region events forum. There are plenty of entertainment venues in the Boston area: music, performing arts, museums, sports, fishing, beaches etc... not to mention alot of historic venues, many real close by. There are a number of vette clubs in the area and most host social activities as well as car related events.
