Some nice choices there. My immediate thought is that you're going to do a lot more driving than enjoying scenery there. Not a thing in the world wrong with that if its your aim but I suspect you may end up kicking yourself for not stopping to smell whatever roses you may find along the way.

I'm a big fan of the "Downeast" area. Cape Cod is very nice but I suspect you might find it to be very similar to Cape May or some of the other Shore points. So my advice would be to give yourself more time in the areas that will be more new to you so you can take them in at your leisure rather than visiting places that will seem quite familiar, if with a New England flair. No dissing of Cape Cod intended, just trying to give you the perspective of someone that's seen both areas.

From what I've been told 2 nights in Montreal is a good choice. It's on my list of places to get to but I haven't made it yet.

I think regardless of what you decide you'll have a great trip. Enjoy!

Depends what you like to do.

Tons to do in Boston.

Rockport, MA - get some lobsters at Roy Moore Lobster and eat out back on the deck. Fun little shops there, too.

Salem, MA for witches.

L.L. Bean in Freeport, ME, on the way to Kennebunkport.

You gotta have blueberry Pie at Helens in Machias, ME (way up the coast).

Downtown, Portsmouth, NH is fun to visit.

Anhauser-Busch Plant (tour and samples) in NH.

Drive up Mt. Greylock in MA.

Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown NY. Also visit Howe Caverns.

Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield, MA.

I think you need the whole summer off. Good luck and have fun.

I think you are biting off a lot. You are going to miss a lot if you try to take in this much territory, but it works if you are just trying to get a taste of different areas to see what you might like to come back to or you just like to drive. You can spend a lot more time in any one of your stopping points and still not see it all. Have fun.
