Default new york crew?

What has happened to the group from NY? I'm from Jersey but I enjoyed reading about all there get togethers. I don't know real names but the ones that come to mind are the yellow convertible, the cool c5 obligatory pic, the ladies with the red and vette and the other with the black vette (husband just returned from Iraq ). Haven't read anything in awhile. Are they on a different forum?

Unfortunately, Alex1217, El Presidente, has been unable to organize NY events. He was the glue that held it together. We all wish Alex the best as he's had some downturns in this economy. Meanwhile, a couple of us have put together events, but we (at least not me) aren't nearly as good as Alex is. Keep looking, though, as there will be other NY events.

The yellow vert is in the body shop getting new body panels installed; he hit a pothole in manhattan.

Cool C5 is currently locked up in my basement for ransom.

Sounds like the NY crew we know and love.
Don't think you'll get much for Alex, maybe a little more for his car.

Haven't see Zinbaad in a few years. Saw Sammy last on the Postcard run - he has a nice z06 now.
Spoke to Alex about a week ago.
Finally got my car back last weekend - trying to avoid NYC potholes now.

How is alex doing? I pm'ed him and didn't hear anything back.
I didn't know anything about Kym being in trouble with the law. Then again, it shouldn't be a major surprise.
I know Deb had to sell her car, but then again, she can always drive Barry's car.
You Sherm, the guy with that yellow car, need to move out of NY, and get away from those damn pot holes. I've seen some that could swallow a whole vette, and still have room for my Explorer.

Hey Ralphy, I'm the guy with that yellow car I think, saw you last summer at Sherm's, been lurking here, been looking for a couple of cruise's or a Sunday brunch, like the one at West Point, the Vettes for Vet's should be coming up soon, hope to catch up with the gang soon.

Sorry to see you sold it. It was a great looking car--and it moved pretty well, too.

How am I supposed to be on the lam from the law when you people keep outing me ( Ithought I could fool everyone with the new black vette if I just didnt drive the bright aqua one anymore... guess that didnt work.. now I need a 3rd super stealth vette to add to the collection!)

Yes, we are all still somewhat around these parts. Just not as frequent as in the past, and in smaller more intimate groups

Im going to try to organize a couple of little things this summer so keep looking. In the meantime we can only hope that Our little Snoopster (Alex) makes an appearance now and then if not a full fledged return.

Maybe we need a giant "lost" BBQ... for those who have been missing, absent, incarcerated, sleeping, in a hole, sold thier vettes, sick, in another country, had medical procedures, moved, retired, took the dog out for a walk and got lost, are experiencing senility, having home renovations done, etc.... ???:o

You guys aren't paying attention to the Forum postings .....the Memorial Drive for John R at ECS on Saturday included a terrific run put together by George. 110+ miles over some great twisties thru the Pine Barrens & down around new Gretna & Little Egg Harbor. Great day had by all & great event for John's family. And Alex was there too.....

Glad to hear the ECS BBQ went well! It looked like it was a good day for everybody.
