Not having a good morning. Im not sure how it happened but my targa top flew off my car this morning on the LIE. It flew about 20 feet in the air and came down with a vegence on some poor old guys hood. did quite a bit of damage to his car. my insurance is gonna have to cover that. Meanwhile the targa top got all scratched up but it isnt cracked. Is there anything i can do to get rid off the scratches or make them less visible? I was thinking the stuff people use to get scratches off there eye glasses might help some. Any Ideas??? Thanks in advance!!!

Forgot to latch the roof last time you put it back on.
Sorry it hit another car
Not much you can do about the scratches, might want to ask a body shop.
do you know what your 'glass' top is made out of ?

The C5 clear top is made out of Lexan ( polycarbonate resin thermoplastic), and it is tinted, forget about trying to fix scratches. If it was clear then getting out some light scratched would probably work. Most people who try to take out the scratches wind up painting it.

Just my opinion but... anything you do to it is going to GLOM it up and look terrible.. buy a new/used one and call it a day. Sorry it happened
The only other thing I can think of is.. I heard that there is a recall for the "squeaking noise" on the c6 roof panels.. have you ever complained about this to the dealer? You could try.. optimal word being try.. to tell them it came flying off and see if you hit the lucky gods that day and they cover it under that??
