The GOLD RUN is an Automotive/ Motorcycle drive from Gold’s Gym in Whippany NJ to Tony Luke’s Cheese Steaks in Philadelphia. Participants will start with a Police escort from Gold’s Gym. They will Continue on a planned route down to Philadelphia where they will meet at Tony Luke’s (39 East Oregon Avenue Philadelphia, PA. 19148.) Registration is open to only 75 cars and 35 motorcycles E-mail Goldswhippany@gmail.com to sign up. Recommended donation- $20.00 cash or $20.00 Target gift card. Clothing and non-perishable food donations will also be greatly appreciated! 100% of proceeds will go to very underprivileged children at Valley View Intermediary School in Peckville PA. Reason for picking Valley View – A little boy was caught stealing food from the schools cafeteria. When he was asked why his response was “ I wanted to take food home so my brother can eat dinner.” We researched and found the living conditions for most of the students to be horrendous. Sign up for the Gold Run and help us get them the food, clothing and essentials they need. Children are ages 5-12

Here's a litle help for you guys if you've never been to Tony Luke's before:

Get off I-95 in South Philadlephia at Exit# 19.
Once on the exit ramp stay to your right and follow signs for Front Street.
At bottom of exit ramp turn left onto Front St.
Follow to next traffic light and turn right onto Oregon Avenue.
Just before going under I-95 turn right into parking area underneath I-95.
Tony Lukes is right there across Oregon Avenue from the parking lot. You can easily park 75 cars there and just walk across the street to Tony's.

 

I spoke with Mickey Luke on Friday. I'm pretty sure we are going to have a lot blocked off for our use.

We are also picking up coverage from NEWS 12 NJ and several PA papers.
