I've had fuel gauge problems until I used Chevron/Texaco.All C/T stations are changing to other brands, at least in my area. Can't seem to find any gas with techron and it's a pain to have to add somthing to my gas tank. Is there any other gas that has an additive that takes care of our C5 fuel gauge problem?

Do a search (Google) for Top Tier Gas and you will find the many brands of gas that add the detergents to their blends like the Techron (just a detergent name) that you find drying up in your area. Here in my area Shell is the only Top Tier gas sold. You will see Phillips 66, Texaco, and others to hopefully find in your area.

I don't know what stations on the list will help with the C5 fuel gauge problem. All Texacos and Chevrons have left.

Doug, it doesn't have to have Techron in it. ANY top tier gas has the added detergents that will keep your gas gauge senders working properly. The detergent that is found in top tier fuels isn't in brands not on the list. You either find one of the brands here on the list or add either Seafoam, Lucas fuel conditioner, or Techron (all detergents and top lubes). You do have one of the stations on the list available to you right? IE; ANY of the fuels on this list will do what you are looking to accomplish.

Last I heard, Shell V-Power IS Techron. Techron is a Chevron product that is used in Chevron, Shell and Texaco.
Here's a quote from a Shell press release:
Shell regular and Plus gasolines... contain more than two times the amount of cleaning agents required by the EPA. Shell V-Power... has more than five times the minimum amount of cleaning agents required by government standards... While [the 2x+ detergent level] is designed to protect engines from the future build-up of carbon deposits, Shell V-Power is specifically formulated to actively clean your engine as you drive, giving it the ability to clean-up deposits that have already built up on intake valves and fuel injectors.
Had the gas gauge problem in my 98 while using Amoco, which never was a Top Tier Fuel. Switched to Shell, which is a Top Tier Fuel, 6+ years and about 100,000 miles ago, and never had the problem since.
Doug....Dont know where you are at in Bmore but last I saw two Texaco stations on Ritchie Highway have yet to change.....One in Glen Burnie the other in Arnold........Not sure if that is way outta your way or not hope it helps.......
I've been using BP/ Amoco for a the past few years, and I've been experiencing this issue more often. I add a bottle of Techron every two tankfuls, but maybe it's time to switch to Shell. The main reason I've been going to the BP place is because I know the owner of the station, and he's a really nice guy, and is very careful not to drip gas on the car or scratch it with the filler like most "I don't give a crap" stations around my area.
Oh well, maybe it's time for a change.

I guessed you missed the whole boycott BP thing after they spilled countless gallons of oil in the gulf Not that the independent station owners had anything to do with it.
