Tires wanted
Before I go buy a new set, thought I'd put a feeler out. Looking for a set of stock sizes for my 02 Z06. Not impressed by the stock runflats that are on there now. I'm old school in that I like to do deals in person with cash. Thanks in advance, JZ

I thought the c5-z tires were not runflats? Anyway, I do have a set off an 04z around with some life in them, I can check tread depths if you are interested. (the rims got used for track tires) -Dan

I appreciate the offer, but mine are probably in the same condition..I just don't get a good feel out of them..very little feedback in my opinion (which isn't worth much lol)..thanks 68sixspeed

If you are looking new you can't go wrong with Michelin PS2's, or for a more budget friendly tire Nitto 555's are good too. I put the 555's on my c5 and they were around $650 for all four a couple years ago from Tire Depot in Bristol. Z06 width may add a bit to that. I've put several track days on the 555's and they do very well for the $. If you want a track tire, 555RII's are awesome on a c5-z. (100 tread wear, pretty sticky for a treaded street tire.) good luck, Dan

Ha..small world..Tony at TireDepot is a friend of mine..been doing my tires for years...I'm thinking the 555's will be a good tire for me...I drive it hard, and cost is def a consideration..if I end up tracking the car more, I'll invest in a second set of wheels..thanks for the info..JZ
