That was mine and Barry's run.........we try to do it twice a year. The one you were on was the last one of the season due to an illness I've been dealing with.

But we fully expect to have another once the weather warms up - a NY to Philly run as only we can do it

Keep your eyes on the NE starting around May

Hi Deb! Hope you are doing well.

Maybe see you soon. Looking forward to warmer weather and a Tony Luke's cheesesteak.

I've always been double booked during each Cheesesteak Run. Want to try and make the next.

Be excited to see Deb join us.

That's good to hear, I think the July Date last year was nice ( i think it was July 31st )

I might be bringing along a passenger that doesn't like the thrill of hitting the rev limiter, so I might take it easy this time around. Who knows.

Can't wait.

Glenn, that would be awesome. I have been trying to get another forum buddy in VA to join as well - he got me to buy a PS3.

Since there is only one season race left, we are already discussing the next season and possibly random races as well. I am a horrible online racer (please no comment on my last real-life experience) but have been getting better. I was dead last in my first couple of races, but have slowly gotten better. I was in the middle of the pack at several points in the last race. There are 3-5 ringers in the league that have been playing these games forever and some guys that really get into tuning, but there are 4 or 5 people that as I get/have gotten better I can run with. Have had some good battles in the last couple of races.

Gettting a couple of practice sessions in before the race to improve lap times and more importantly stay consistent (i.e less offtrack incidents) goes a long way. I have also found the AWD cars a little easier to use at first since there really is no "feel" for oversteer on the video game. Most in this season are using an R8 or GT-R.

Let me know when you plan to give it a try. I try to jump in the lounge a couple of nights a week to practice.

(Sorry to hijack the thread -Glenn, shoot me a PM or post over there with any questions.)

No way! 150 mph for 76 miles through the ice and snow is too risky even for the New Yorkers!

:agree: I put the Pirelli's that I won at the track on my truck, pretty good grip going around jug handles on a crewcab truck with an 8' bed and a top on the bed.. Our run cannot be called the philly cheesesyeak run though, that Debbie and Barry's.

I'm hoping you misspelled "cheesesteak"

What else would you call a run to Philly for cheesesteaks?

Besides Debbie and Barry will be there in spirit

How does the last Saturday in Feb work? Afternoon, evening or late night??? If we can get a general consensus I'll make a new post on the event
