yeah, at this point, rather than bicker I think the OP should just pick a place and say "go here or deal with it" lol.

We can (and have) go on for days trying to discuss meet locations lol. Rather than just pick 1, we can do a few over the course of the summer.

I know I'm down to travel a bit, I don't care really. Sadly at this point I'm not sure if I can get to Carlisle this year (anniversary weekend with the GF) so I'm down for some more "local" traveling instead. I know I'd be down for an Atlantic City weekend as well. Lots of places to have lunch/dinner down there, and then some drinking/gambling fun in the afternoon. Best part is if you want to do your own thing or bring a guest, you can easily separate from the group and have lots to do and not be bored.

Problem with that is, you get so many guys who are not willing to race their cars
That being said, Im always down to hit E-Town!!!
Either that or OC Park or maybe some NW Jersey roads that are actually fun to drive on! Im not really beat from the traffic and/or crappy roads anywhere near NE Jersey around NYC.

When I get my car back, I'll show you some roads that you can do tripple digits around long sweeping turns and not see another car for 20-30 minutes at a time.

Its by us. I've taken two Corvette groups on it, one was the John Romano Memorial run, and the other was my Midnight Run. both groups loved it, I really don't show a lot of people because then somehow the Ricers(kids) will ruin it for eveyone.. Its a great ride, you'll love it.

Exit 63 GSP

If you havent joined the NJ Corvettes Group here on CF, please click the link below and do so....we have over 150 members.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/grou...corvettes.html

We did a small Meet & Greet a few years ago in Toms River....at a Wawa on Rt. 37 but we got moved by Toms Rivers finest for loitering...go figure. We had about 25 members show up .... pic below.

We did another parking lot about 4-5 miles west of the GSP and Rt. 37 exit (The Marquis Theater).....plenty of parking, food, ice cream etc....)

We can do that place again.......let me know.

Steve

The Supercharger John picnics were awesome.

Vote for a meet at ECS and a cruise down Georges secret route, to end with a picnic at the park, followed by desert at Harold. And when all is said and done, then a midnight cruise to Tony Likes for some late night snacking.

Can we fit some go-carts in there too?

We are overdue for some NJMP kart racing.

BTW, if anyone is interested, Mid-Atlantic Grand Prix in DE calls me every couple of months to bring a group down. If anyone is interested I can try and set something up. Its an indoor track just over the DE Memorial Bridge. We did a couple of events there a couple of years ago followed up by lunch at a nearby Hooters.

NJMP's karts are more fun, but MAGP is not bad when the weather prevents racing outside at NJMP.

if you want to meet up for a karting event i highly suggest pole position raceway in jersey city's liberty state park, right off NJTPK exit 14B. i went there a couple of times already and it's a lot of fun. here's a video of me racing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbnVL-1Vqg8&hd=1

and here's another idea for a meet. how about we "invade" this meet with a few vettes. i've never been (because none of my car friends want to get up early on the weekend lol) but it seems like a good time. doesn't look like one of those ricer meets at best buy... some pretty good cars on the list according to that thread.

if we feel like it we could do our own thing afterwards, have dinner or go on a cruise or something.

After a tough winter, we would like to welcome everyone to the new season of Cars and Croissants! The meet keeps growing and we had some great firsts last year (MBZ SLS, Lexus LFA, 100 year old Rolls-Royce Ghost). By the end of 2010, we had over a 100 cars showing up regularly and the variety has been just amazing.
