There will be 20 or so from the Long Island Corvette Owners' Association. This will be my first time there, but from what I've heard about last year, I expect to see a large turnout.

Reason: grammer
Not sure if you'll be able to do both the auto-X and drag strip. best to ask a club member.
If you find yourself at the drag strip, look for me in the lanes.
2004 Lemans Blue Vert.
Ya, I didnt think so...Figured for an extra $10 it'd be fun to give it a try... Never Auto-X or road raced vette before... only motorcycles.
Drag Racing take priority though!
Anything faster than 11.50 you need a full roll cage. That's an NHRA rule.
"A roll bar is required in any convertible running 13.49 seconds or quicker in the quarter mile, and in other cars beginning at 11.49. The roll bar is accepted in vehicles running as quick as 10.00 second e.t., provided the stock firewall and floorboard is intact.
A full roll cage is required in any vehicle running 9.99 seconds or quicker, and any vehicle running 135 mph or faster (regardless of e.t.)."

the funny thing is most non-regular racers run mid 12's with stock C6 Z06's on stock tires...more power might give you trap speed but its only gonna make the wheel spin worse.

yeh, I'm aware of the NHRA rules... I have a bar in my car.
Doesn't mean you can't make a pass or two. or just short shift and use street tires and you'll be well above the 11.50 limit.

I have a 660 Lingenfelter running 3.90 gears and drag radials.
