Took a ride from NY to Cape Cod yesterday. In NY the leaves haven't really started to change yet, but I did expect to see some nice color on the way up. Yea, there was some color but everything was a couple shades off. Any nice color out there?

Along south coast the effects of all the salt blown in by Irene dulled the colors, at least that's what I heard the weathermen say.

I just got back from 10 days in New England with the vette. Shot over 1000 pictures ! The color in NH. is mostly over, also in Maine but, the lobster was peaking. I saw the most color coming down the western areas of MA. and CT. . Eastern Pa thru the water gap also looked good in the dark with the rain LOL. It seems that this year the tops of the trees turned and the leaves fell off and now the bottom half of the trees are turning and falling fast. I think between the hurricane and the cold spell then warm spell the leaves are not as nice this year. BTW; I avoided VT as some of the motels I stayed at in NH were filled with hurricane victims from VT.. I feel very sorry for them as I've gone thru it also, having a summer home on the Delaware.

We drove up I-81 in the Virginia mountains on the way home from the Museum last week. Those colors are the brightest I've seen this year.

Bob
Charlie, Nuky, Mark and a few others are going to a car show this Sunday in your neck of the woods.
Shop Rite Supermarket
180 Gleneida Ave.(RT.52)
Carmel, NY 10512
If you do a Google Maps you'll see it's right by RT 301/Rt6. One of your (and mine) favorite roads
