C1-6 Engine troubleshooting??? Borescope/leakdown/compression/TechII/Modis(Snap-On)..
Added a SnapOn Modis to the tool crib along with the SnapOn borescope(allows inspection of the cylinder walls and pistons)
PCM 0300 code on a C5? It could be a plug/wire/coil pack, but in the past few years, I have personally seen a few valvesprings break, causing a dropped valve/cracked cylinder
The less traumatic cases have had a mechanical overrev(missed downshift) and break a pushrod, before retrieving the pushrod and installing new parts, a 10 minute inspection can tell if your valves had contact with the piston with the borescope
I am located in South Windsor CT; off RT5, 10 minutes from the 91/84 interchange
