Default MD - Tint Shop

Looking for a good tint shop - I'm out of downtown Baltimore but willing to drive to a shop that knows what they are doing.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

http://www.getsunstoppers.com/

I have had 8 cars there, never had a problem with any of them.

Belair rd north of baltimore, have them do all my tint work. Life time warranty with the upgraded tint against fading, peeling, ect.

All tint is cut by plotter so no hand cut edges.

Sun stoppers is my reccomendation as well, they do a great job, and one of te owners is a big vette fan as well

Stay away from d+l tinting, the owner is an azzhole top put it mildly

I used HPR Customs in Glen Burnie and was happy with the work they did on my CTS-V.

I've also had vehicles done at HP Racing in Glen Burnie and they did a good job with lifetime warranty on any bubbling, peeling, etc...

For the vette, I went to "The Tint Man," also in Glen Burnie. He does nothing but tint, auto and commercial/business. Also did a good job and was priced well. One year warranty.

Not perfect but he explained ahead of time that they wouldn't be.

Have others had their dot matrix done flawlessly?

They should use vinyl to cover the matrix.

I've seen/heard good things about their tinting but....

DO NOT use these guys for any tire related work like mounting, etc. I was told it was a good shop by a friend, but they took 3 and a half hours to mount and balance some tires on my car, which is normally takes an hour MAX anywhere else. I called them and we agreed on $250 to mount and balance tires (which is already a very high price for the job, but I was told they were top notch). Then when I got there they tried to charge me $300 to get tires mounted, and tried to BS me and tell me that 3.5 hours for a tire change is normal.

While I was there waiting, they did several tint jobs which appeared to be fine from a distance. The customers seemed happy with the tint work.

After being dishonest with me, I will not go back there. It looked like a ricer shop anyway.

Haha, on the topic of tires. I called them for a quote too.

They were the absolute HIGHEST quote out of like 8 people I called.

It was to dismount 2 runflats (rears) and put on 2 305/35/19s. Ended up getting them done by "House of Dubs" in Laurel for $106. And they actually did a really great job. Although the are in the business of "Donks" and dubs...they are still wheel specialists, and if they are used to doin 24s and up...then a 305 on a 19 is no big deal for them.

Thanks, I'll check them out in a couple years when I need new tires. Hopefully they can handle something as wide as 345's.

They mounted tires on my 19"/20" wheels with painted lips and they did a great job. I can't remember what they charged me (I'm sure that I have the receipt somewhere) but I do remember it wasn't more than what they quoted me. They did a great job on my CTS-V clear bra as well!!

I have used Absolute Perfection in Eldersburg for a couple cars including my C6. My buddy used them for his C6 also. They did a great job on all of them. I think they are the only Maryland dealer for the new LLumar FormulaOne tint.
