hmmm, would you prefer a track event type deal, or just everyone hang out, have a bbq and some drinks?

I think we're looking for a reunion type get together, a track event wouldn't be conducive to that, especially since several have sold their cars.

I would suggest something in North Jersey (so as to be convenient for South Jersey and the NY crew). Lets see what the others have in mind

Well, in that case, I know of a restaurant that is pretty friendly to car/bike people. Plenty of parking for a bunch of cars, outside covered patio with tables, outdoor fire pit, comfortable tables inside.

4905 Stelton Road

They have great food, even for those with an appetite. Lots of beer choices, and I'm sure they'd be willing for some kind of app discount or something for a larger group

EDIT: Also they're a good central location. Within 1 mile of exit 5 of rt. 287. Pretty central NJ, within 20 minutes of Staten Island, and about 40 minutes from Manhattan. NY/NJ border on the parkway is about 1 hour

This looks interesting. Only 10 min from Harold's.

Always have this in back pocket if we can't find something else.

I'm in, but would suggest a place with a hotel for those of us who will be consuming (and cryin' a lot due to the demise of the [Bar]).

It would only be fitting to go to a place with a bar.

We have to do something. I'm in for whatever, whereever. A cruise (RUN) would be nice also. So, how about the first games of the season. I'm a die hard Vikings fan and they looked good. Adrian, back from surgery ahead of schedule, scoring two TD's, nice. Ponder looked pretty comfortable for a 2nd year starter 20 of 27, no int's. I know Bob is a Steelers fan and they looked ok till the end. For the Giant fans, WTF? a loss to the Cowboys???. The Eagles got lucky and squeeked one by, I don't think Vick is the answer. I'm rooting for Manning out in Denver. The Jury is still out on TeBow if you ask me, time will tell. Anybody else wanna chime in, either on the games, a run/get together, or anything in between.

I'm up for either place. Harold's was ok, but the other place might be good for something different. We need a new atmosphere to be rid of the past year's BS.

Am I permitted to say this?
Hey George, check out the racks on the waitresses! On second thought, I like this place better.

In case anyone really wanted a hotel near Brickhouse Tavern and Tap, there's a few choices all within 5 minutes. There's a Holiday Inn within 1/2 mile of the bar/restaurant. There's also a Ramada Inn about 2 miles away, and a few smaller inn places within 5 miles as well.

Only drawback is there are no real good driving roads anywhere near the bar . So if anyone wanted to cruise, better off doing it on the way to the bar.

EDIT: The Holiday Inn has a Ruby Tuesday's in the lobby with a bar. But limited parking and space inside

Don't forget the PA contingent!

Here's a suggestion.

The "cruise" would be from all directions converging in the Poconos.
No problem with good places to eat and stay.

George who cares about football
But did you see Murray beat Dijokvich?

Rex we will keep that in mind. BTW - tennis this weekend was great. Serena match was good which was only topped by a great match by Murray. I do wonder how many times NBC will have live audio on Murray. That guy curses up a storm.
