finally started the s10 tonite after a 3 week hiatus.
started off bringing my truck to the auto dept. at my school to change a head gasket. they changed the gasket and started bolting up the accessories when i came down to see the progress. My buddy matt told me to crank it over to see what we've got. not even 2 spins of the engine and the sucker backfired and wouldnt run.
got the truck home and it sat for about 2 weeks while Matt told me he would finish the job if i got a new head and pushrods... ordered the parts and waited for him to get the truck. so sunday i said fudge it, started taking apart the top end. monday night i finished bolting everything up, and tonite i turned the key and it fired right up. (still have to adjust the valves)
the problem.. cracked cyl head (internally) 3 stuck valves (thus the backfire) and 4  bent pushrods.
 Should have just chucked the engine and got a zz4 and added some spray....i heard of a guy running in the low 11's with that setup
Definitely my ultimate race car (truck  ) that id like to build someday.
this friday a ricer is getting dropped off for a body kit/ repaint.. should be finished by the 15th of this month.. then its 2 weeks of non stop 12 hour days of prepping the shark for paint. should have it done before july 4th.
