Hello. I am looking at a Corvette at Ron's Auto in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and would appreciate any feedback on Ron's from any of you, as well as a suggestion for a PPI should it come to that. Thanks!
Joe
What year Vette?...I traded my deer smashed (Avatar) 08. Today I googled the vin and its for sale in MA..With a free carfax and zero is mentioned about the repairs...Be careful if buying used...Good luck
Nothing about Ron's, but a note about car buying. Carfaxs are not to be completely trusted IMPO. I bought a vette from Reedman last year. It had a clean Carfax and a GM Certification no less. It was basically an internet sale, so I couldn't bring it to my mechanic to be checked. I knew no one in the area, so I had to rely on the dealer. I found out the car had been hit, with undercarriage damage, and it had the hood repainted. Everything the salesman specifically told me it didn't have. Reedman and GM would do nothing.
Moral of the story? Get a trained and trusted mechanic to check your car. Use Carfax, etc. but don't only rely on their info. You can get a readout from GM's service records on the car too.
