Re: ITS PRIMED!!!!!!!!!!! (Corzvette69)
Car looks good! :yesnod: I see you're doing your own work -- very cool!! How do you like the HVLP spray gun? Looking forward to seeing the finished product. :)  Cool choice of color, too. :)
Looks great. Take your time, you're doing a nice job. As for the interior and engine bay, you have time. I'm sure it's going to look great when you are done.
well, this was a real pita! no the car isnt painted, i dont even have any more primer coats on it (yet) but its only 10:30 so I'm gunna get crackin on it and finish up for the night, and the car WILL be painted by 3PM tomorrow. otherwise, I'm not gunna make it to derby for sunday.. or graduation on monday :cry
Hey Corey, I was in your exact same shoes last July. It even looks the same, car pulled in sideways in a two car garage...... is that the gray ppg primer/sealer? Anyway let me tell you what I wished I HAD done.
1. Cover your body when painting, besides the health issues you don't want to get body hair on fresh paint.
2. Shoot some base and clear on something before you start on the car. HVLP guns sometimes shoot different with different products and require different pressure and/or nozzle sizes.
3. Its easy to get all hyped up about working late the night before, not getting enough sleep, and then running out of steam before you finish. Don't do that.
Looks like your doing a great job, best of luck!!!

And 1 tip from personal experience in a professional shop. I noticed in this pic:
don't have the hose draped like that.. Put it over your shoulder.. It takes a little getting used to but you will never hit the paint with the hose if you do. If you do it the way you are in that pic you WILL hit the paint with the hose (Trust me you WILL it only takes the slightest wrong movement).
Looks OUTSTANDING otherwise and I can;t wait to see the results!!!!!!
