Default Redmond vetting - help needed!

Hi, I am cHRISTIAN and I didnt post a lot here around (I am more the quiet reader in the back ;-)) but now its about time because I will go on a b-trip to wonderful Redmond, Washington for a week attending a Microsoft conference from 20th April onwards.

Here in Germany I drive a black C3 vert and some time ago this little beauty was accompanied by another young lady in black, my beloved black C5Z06 convertible. Now she had to move along and left her place for my little sweet (newborn... no but still only 10 months) daughter Carolin.

Now here comes the question for you, I will have 1 or 2 days where I have some free time until the conference starts, so who can tell me where to find a nice shop or store nearby to get my sweetheart vette styled (like clothing etc.)? I will have the opportunity of 2x20KG to get back home with me which I obviously will not completely have to use for things I need there in the US for myself

Or is there any place or event I am not allowed to miss out around there (corvette or non-corvette wise, its my first visit to Washington
state ofc) maybe meet you in person and say thx!?

I urgently need your assistance please please!

See you (there)!
cHRISTIAN

True that there were never any stock z verts but there are aftermarket c5z convert kits, individuals and companies who do them.

I have been there. Also that is where Microsoft's HQ is located, so it makes sense that is it Washington State.

I have seen a hard top conversion C5 Z at Carlisle bet never a soft top vert, but i am sure it has been done like you said. Now there are plenty of guys who have taken verts and put Z06 badges on

No worries my friend, I just hope someone who actually knows the area posts...Actually I'm wrong because the poster states the he is attending something to do with Microsoft and says Washington State. So I should stfu and stay out of what I don't know.

Thx for the replies, to answer the question about C5 Z06 convertible, it was done by a shop in Florida near St. Petersburg. So it is not just a badged ripp-off but I am used to get such questions and I dont mind ;-)

OK so I will go ahead and post this to the northwest Forum. It is this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redmond,_Washington and yes its where Microsoft has its HQ. So I think it should be moved to the Northwest Forum please?!

Thx!

Like we said, we are on the east cost, 2,800 miles (4,500 kM) away from where you are going, so we can't help you that much. Just make new posts in the Pacific Northwest and Off Topic forums. Also maybe you can order Corvette gear online and have it shipped to the hotel.

here was a nice restaurant I went to out there

When in Seattle be sure to go up to the Space needed, here is a shot I took three years ago
