Default Place to take my C6 in Queens, NYC?
Hey guys!

I remember coming onto this forum when I bought my 2006 C6 (and my first car ever) in October. I've driven her over 10,000 miles, and LOVE it. I drove from Los Angeles to New York city (the LONG route; about 5000 miles), and tonight I picked up a nail in one of my rear tires (first time that's ever happened to me). Also, in Minneapolis my friend's father in law (who used to race) said there was a slight miss or something like that (I don't know the lingo). He said injector cleaner or new sparkplugs could help the issue, but it's very minor so I haven't done anything yet.

I figured since I got the nail in the tire to take care of now (easily repairable, right?), I should go to a shop that knows what they're doing and have them do the tire repair and take a look at the engine too while they're at it. But I'm a LONG way from home, and I don't know what is the best way to go about doing this. If anyone here could recommend a reputable shop in Queens, NY (closer is better, since my tire is going to be flat in the morning when I can take it in) or tell me how to find one, I would be very grateful!

Thanks

Depending where you are in Queens, I have been using a shop in long island city near the 59th st bridge off northern blvd under the elevated train for years called access tire and auto 3826 31st street 718-392-5670, it is not a great looking place and the owner John (Giovanni) is a bit qwerky but he is a good problem solver. Good luck. Russ

Would you say it's safe to drive there from Flushing on a flat tire? Or should I get the tire fixed more locally and worry about the engine later?

Is the nail still in the tire? If so, you are not losing much in the way of air. Just top off the tire and drive it to a tire place. If the nail is in the main tread block, they can put in a radial tire patch and you are good as new.
